No sooner had the Mulroney-Schreiber inquiry ended, we have another pas de deux with Stephen Harper and Michael Ignatieff. They are both trying to sound tough about election, but trying desperately to avoid one. According to Iggy, Harper must pass muster on the progress of the stimulus program, deficit reduction, the isotope problem and changes to employment insurance, or we go to the polls this summer. Well, not exactly. The latest word is that these two will "discuss" EI over the summer, so relax. Whew!

It will be interesting to see the fancy stepping in the weeks to come.
